Welcome to Goodies

“Goodies” is East Bay Natural Grocer’s new, free, members reward program.

As a member, you will receive periodic, text-based updates, offers, and coupons.

The program tallies points and punches when you shop our stores. All you have to do is enter your phone number in our our point of sale system during checkout and we’ll do the rest.

As you collect points and punches, we will send you relevant offers and coupons to get even more Good Things from your favorite neighborhood natural grocery stores.

THE FAQs

It’s a free members rewards program we’re offering our customers. Members will receive periodic, text-based updates, offers, and coupons. The program tallies points and punches based on your purchases, but that does not necessarily influence the offers. You can collect and redeem at either of our two locations.

Points are your standard 1 point for every $1 spent accrual method. These are collected on every purchase.

Punches are for more specific purchases. These can either be single items or category spending. Think of it as a digital version of a Buy 10 WKRPs Get XYZ buyer’s card. Except the register will do all the counting and tracking for you.

We’ll effort to create and keep an updated list here. We’ll also do our best to make sure there is some signage indicating opportunities while you’re shopping.

Just enter your phone number in our point of sale pad at anytime during checkout, before you pay of course. The register will automatically tally points and punches.

Since the program is not necessarily a spending-based rewards program, you can expect to receive them “periodically.” Which is to say, that at this point, there is no set interval. This program allows us to be more granular and creative in what we can offer, so you’ll just have to give it a try and see what Goodies you get.

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re already enrolled. If not, just enter a phone number you can receive text messages on into our new point of sale interface and that’s it. Ask a cashier if you need assistance locating the field. Once you’re enrolled, just enter your number the same way every time you shop.

Anyone with a number that can receive text messages, and that can display QR codes at the register. Here’s a good time to remind you that standard data and message rates apply.

We’ll send you text-based offers and store communications and that’s it. We won’t share or sell with anyone else. It’s only for use for the East Bay Natural Grocers businesses; Alameda Natural Grocery and Castro Valley Natural Grocery.

Absolutely. You can sign up, collect points and punches, and redeem rewards at either of our two locations. Except, on the occasion we do a store-specific promotion. In that situation, you’ll have to go to that store to redeem.

Glad you asked, we’re thinking about setting up some ways of earning points for doing Good Things and/or other analog efforts out in the greater world. Stay tuned, we’ll make a big deal about it if we do. We’ll even text you about it.

That’s really cool you thought of that. We believe you can. If not, we’ll get our software provider to make it happen.

If you text STOP, that will opt you out of the program and you’ll stop receiving all messages from us. If you text anything else it will go somewhere where we cannot guarantee we will see it or respond. But if we do, we can chat.

Fair enough. We totally understand. If you’re already enrolled, just text STOP to the last message you got from us. You can also contact us with your phone number and we’ll opt you out ASAP. However, it’s best to reply STOP as that’s automatic and error-free.

If you are not yet enrolled, don’t enter your phone number in our checkout system. It’s totally voluntary and has no effect on anything else.
