the mothership

East bay Natural Grocers Mothership

East Bay Natural Grocers, Inc. is the mothership company for three locally owned, independently operated and certified green food retailers.

We’ve got two natural foods stores and a food service operation.

Alameda Natural Grocery Logo

Alameda Natural Grocery is our flagship store. We opened up in Alameda in the early 2000s and are the original, and anchor tenant of the Alameda Marketplace. We grew a great thing there.

Castro Valley Natural Grocery

Castro Valley Natural Grocery is our brand new second location. We reprised our role as anchor tenants and brought everything awesome about our Alameda location and more to the new Castro Valley Marketplace.

Tomato by East Bay Natural Grocers Logo

Tomato is our food service operation and cafe in the new Castro Valley location. We serve up entrees, soups, salads, sides, and plates using only the cleanest ingredients fit for sale in the Castro Valley Natural Grocery.
